IGNOU established by an Act of Indian Parlaiment in 1985 has provided opportunities for over three million learners to acquire a university Certification ,gainful employmentwork place education and career progression.
JDT Islam Orphanage Committee since the time of its inception in the year 1922 has witnessed huge progress in eduction, vocational training, professional education and other Social services to the Society especially for the Orphans , Destitutes and other marginalized sections of the Society across the country.
JDT Islam has taken step to start the IGNOU Study center even from 1989. at present thousands of students are under going their higher education . more than sixty programmes are activated.

| Community College |
A Community College may be defined as an institution which is 'For the community, By the community and Of the community' and entitled to award an Associate Degree (AD) as its highest degree .It offers educational opportunities to all sections of society, particularly the marginalized and the disadvantaged. A community can be locality based, region based, trade based or occupation based and even ICT enabled service based.
A major contribution of Community Colleges at different parts of the world has been to extend access to postsecondary studies for millions of students who would otherwise not have the desired opportunity. Even in countries such as the US and Canada, where Community Colleges started as peripheral to mainstream higher education system, people's perceptions have changed and the social importance of an Associate Degree through a formal mechanism has considerably increased. The fact that approximately 44% of all undergraduates in the US study in Community Colleges reflects the importance and popularity of such institutions.

| IGNOU Community College Scheme |
| The IGNOU Community College Scheme is an attempt to channelise an academic path meant primarily for the
underprivileged sections of the society and helping these sections to reach out to formal education by framing the
Associate Degree and the credit transfer scheme. The IGNOU Community College Scheme was launched on July 4, 2009. Under this scheme a Community College can get registered for offering academic programmes at the levels of certificate, diploma and associate degree. After successful completion of his study through this scheme a student will be certified by IGNOU. These colleges are a source of economic growth because they provide an educated and skilled workforce that improves the quality of life for individual students, communities and the nation.
