Jam’iyyat Da’wa wa Tablighul Islam, better known in brief as JDT ISLAM Orphanage, established in the year 1922, is a conglomeration of educational institutions, housed in a main building complex and in several buildings adjoining one another, spread over in a vast and wider compound and situated in the heart of Calicut city, at Marikkunnu, imparting quality training and teaching by a team of talented, qualified, and experienced teachers, endowed with the spirit of dedication, professionalism and expertise, under different and varied subjects and branches of study, to aspiring students and candidates from this part of the country and far-off places, even covering the whole of India.

Today, JDT Islam has journeyed a long way to attain its present position and status, as a well-run and well-kept orphanage, known for its determination and dedication for its uncompromising quality of education, made possible through much hardships and trials earlier and was able to make its mark in this field, winning a wider acceptance and acclaim in the whole of Malabar and outside. It has also paved the way for the institution to enjoy an enviable level of status in the society, both in the educational and service sectors. Backed by its professionalism, coupled with the experience and expertise, the institution has completed its eight long and glorious decades of yeoman service for the welfare of humanity, at large, adding a feather in its cap.
