It is believed that the School of Nursing- JDT Islam,Vellimadukunnu, Calicut, incorporates sound educational principles, changing educational needs of nursing profession and the current health needs of the society. It assumes the responsibility to provide basic Nursing Education Programme with a broad and sound foundation in the behavioral, life and nursing sciences for the general practice of Nursing, for leadership role and advanced nursing practice. It also believes that the three and half year General Nursing & Midwifery Course prepares nurses for occupying first level positions in nursing in all kinds of health care settings.
The Institution stands to offer a value based scientific and holistic nursing education and nursing practice which paves the way for the integrated development of the physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual aspects of the personality of the students.
